The Imperial Foreign Office calls my attention to the fact that the families of German civilians interned in Hong Kong state that their letters to their relatives, who are detained at that plass, do not appear to be received, and,
as regards this subject, I have the honor to ask you to ascertain from His Majesty's Government, at the request of the Imperial German Government, the exact regulations concerning the correspondence of German civilians interned in Hong Kong, in particular, whether letters may be written and received without limit and whether such corres= pondence is permitted in the German language,
